About us

Natalia Pressman is the founder and music director of Pianissimo.

She embraced music in her early childhood.  She began playing the piano at the age of 4 years old, and knew that she wanted to devote herself to music and share her passion with the world.

She graduated in Music Performance and Education from the prestigious Conservatory of Buenos Aires, Argentina and continued her career in Europe.

She studied with masters and got to experience a rich musical environment with top world musicians such as Martha Argerich, Daniel Barenboim and Mauricio Pollini. During this period she also performed chamber music and began teaching the new generation of pianists.

In 2007, she travelled to the United States and brought her talents to the Bay Area, where she has been a collaborative pianist with local opera musicians, symphony orchestras and ballet companies.  Her piano performances and teaching continued to evolve and in 2019 she opened her own music school which now has several locations in the bay area and sophisticated online and hybrid programs.

Beyond providing a solid musical foundation, Natalia ambitiously incorporates psychological science, innovative pedagogy, and cutting edge technology to enhance the student’s experience and deliver an engaging, positive and joyful learning environment. She practices the fundamentals of positive psychology and wisdom skills in her own life and brings those practices to her teaching, where she strives to contextualize piano and music as components of a broader aim towards personal and professional development.
